Welcome,
It is exactly 10 years since I finished with college life. Having studied a degree in Multimedia Computing with Design, the world was finally my oyster…
…fast forward ten years, I have explored many countries, tried my hand at a couple of different jobs, met so many inspirational people and I now find myself writing my very first BLOG ENTRY!
How did I get here?
Firstly, I have a very supportive husband (thank you Andy!). …especially, as my decision to leave my latest job and start a new career came only two months after we got married in October 2014. After working for the same company for over five and half years, I was ready for a change. I believed I needed a new goal in my life.
I was reflecting on the past ten years, where I had worked in various jobs. My one true passion, which grew bigger and bigger over this period, was my love affair with FOOD! I had become more adventurous with my taste buds. My culinary skills improved as I did my best to recreate those amazing flavours, smells and mouth-watering goodness. Then it clicked, I had to follow my dream and turn my hobby into a career! From there Duck Egg and Lime was born!
At times, my decision to quit my full time job has been very scary and must admit, I have asked myself, Am I crazy?’ but I can honestly say I now have no regrets.
Life, travel, adventure and of course FOOD!
My blog entries will be about my day to day life with my adorable dog AJ and my ‘outdoors lovin’ husband Andy. There will be of course some great recipes, tips and general foodie chat too. As I have a keen love of travel, I will chat about a few of the amazing places I have been lucky enough to visit.
I would love to help with any questions you may have, be it about a dinner party, lunch ideas, wedding, or Christmas. So please send us an email and we will be happy to answer any queries!
Thank you for reading and stay tuned to our first recipe post about tonight’s dinner: Shepherd’s Pie with Sweet Potato & Parsnip Mash. YUMMY!
